2016 Fithian Award Recipient: Les Winston, CAP  Insurance & Financial Services, Inc. 

Like past recipients of this award, all well deserving, Les Winston has a passion similar to Scott Fithian in that he is passionate about the mission to promote philanthropy.  Scott's "above and below the line" continues to this day to assist advisors, both financial and development advisors, with a means of enabling donor/clients to give more. Promoting philanthropy and giving more is critical to the non-profit sector...critical to and for our communities. With that concept, Les has been a loyal soldier for the cause.

Les has a deep conviction that the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation furthers that mission. He is truly committed to growing  a "critical mass" of CAP®s.

As President of the AiP Foundation since its incorporation in 2009, Les has led the organization’s scholarship award program, personally raising $50,000 for scholarships and program management. Recently the Foundation awarded its 100th scholarship - a milestone to celebrate!

In addition to his work with the AiP Foundation, Les has hosted the "Funny Money Radio Show" for the past nine years in the south Florida market. The show was created to educate the public and raise awareness as to the power of the 664 trust.

Les will be honored at the Fithian Awards Dinner, part of AiP's Conference on Philanthropy on Monday,May 9, 2016 at Loew's Chicago O'Hare.
