The International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP) previously recognized an individual with a distinguished career in service to the philanthropic community. Awardees were chosen for their efforts to uphold the standards of excellence in ethics, service and charitable planning encouraged by the Association. 

Named after the late Scott Fithian, one of the founding members and leaders of this organization whose passion for Philanthropic Advising continues to be highly recognized., the Fithian Leadership Award is the highest recognition awarded by the Association.
