Greetings from the Steering Committee of the Boston Philanthropic Roundtable (BPART)!
For more than ten years, BPART, an all-volunteer organization, has been pleased to offer quality programming and networking opportunities to Boston’s philanthropic community at no cost to members. Since BPART’s formation, its membership and the scale of its programs have grown dramatically. We have been delighted by BPART’s tremendous success and wish for this robust growth to continue. Accordingly, the Steering Committee has voted to take the next step in BPART’s evolution and convert to a national model.
BPART’s Steering Committee is pleased to announce BPART’s partnership with a national organization, The International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP), and BPART’s new designation as AiP’s Boston Chapter (AiP-BPART), effective as of October 2018.
Like BPART, AiP is a diverse forum of professional advisors who are dedicated and inspired to teach and empower clients to effectively direct their philanthropic resources consistent with their deepest values. The Steering Committee is confident that joining AiP will provide BPART with additional structure and permanence. By merging with a national organization, AiP-BPART will not only continue to offer excellent speakers and valuable content on the local level, but will also allow members to take advantage of AiP’s national membership and speaker network, monthly educational webinars and “philanthropic power calls”, and attend AiP’s Annual Conference on Philanthropy. Additionally, AIP-BPART will now be able to offer continuing education credit for events across a variety of disciplines.
In many ways, AiP-BPART will continue to operate as it always has. The Steering Committee in Boston will guide AiP-BPART at the local chapter level. John Przybylski has joined AiP’s national board. There are many leadership opportunities for those who want to join the local Steering Committee or one of AiP’s national committees. Starting in October 2018, all communications to our mailing list will be coordinated and sent by AiP. To continue receiving our e-mails, please add email@example.com to your Safe Senders List.
We are very excited about our partnership with AiP and the additional resources and opportunities that we can now provide our friends and members. These benefits do come with an annual cost of $300, which includes membership with AiP National and access to AiP-BPART’s national community, resources, and programming. Accordingly, starting with our October 2018 annual luncheon, our events will be free to AiP-BPART members. You need not be a member to receive our communications or notifications of our upcoming programs, and nonmembers are welcome to attend all events subject to a nominal fee that will be specified in advance.
