| After earning a Master’s Degree in Engineering Psychology and Human Factors at Houston’s Rice University, Tim Dammon began his technology career which included stints at Compaq Computers, Gateway Computers, ideaEDGE Ventures, Entropia Distributed Computing, and finally the Iomega Corporation where he was Global GM for a $5-700mm consumer product line.
With his career on a significant trajectory both in terms of professional responsibility and financial reward, Tim couldn’t understand why he felt unfulfilled. Couldn’t understand it, that is, until God clearly spoke to his heart that there was a more significant role for Tim to play and a greater, more eternal market in which that role would be played.
In 2003, Tim and his wife, Lisa experienced a transformational refocusing of their lives from the wealth-generation economy of the technology industry to the kingdom-focused economy of global evangelical missions when Tim became Chief Relationship Officer for The Seed Company, an affiliate of Wycliffe Bible Translators focused on building translation teams with mother tongue translators around the world and developing financial investors in the United States to support translation projects.
After building an investment based fund development strategy and recruiting and engaging a team of high performing relationship oriented development representatives to execute the strategy, Tim was ready for his next challenge and joined a private foundation to launch ECHO (Empowering Church Healthcare Outreach), a ministry focused on encouraging and empowering churches to develop volunteer based healthcare clinics for those in need in their communities.
It was while launching ECHO that Tim first got to know Bob Buford and was exposed to Halftime and Bob’s vision for transforming the significant capacity available in America’s wealth building economy into God’s Kingdom building economy.
Most recently, Tim served as President/CEO of Angel Flight South Central, a helping ministry comprised of more than 1,200 volunteer pilots and aircraft owners participating in entrepreneurial philanthropy by using their skills and resources to provide free air transportation for people in need of medical care not available to them locally. Headquartered in Dallas, Angel Flight South Central arranges 5,000 missions (flights) annually to meet humanitarian needs.
Tim is also an instrument rated private pilot and a certified sommelier. He and Lisa live in the Dallas area where Lisa serves as Director of Events for The Seed Company. They have three adult daughters.
