John A. Warnick to Receive Fithian Leadership Award

One of the highest honors in the financial services industry – as well as AiP’s top honor – goes to John A. Warnick, Family Wealth Transitions & Solutions and Purposeful Planning Institute.

The Fithian Leadership Award acknowledges professionals with distinguished careers in service to the philanthropic community. Honorees are chosen for their efforts to uphold the standards of excellence in ethics, service and charitable planning encouraged by the Association.

"John A” is a long-time AiP member, serving as a speaker, Conference Chair and Board Director. A well respected member of the financial planning community, he delivers workshops across the nation for estate planning attorneys, planned giving professionals, wealth managers, life insurance professionals, and trustees around the Seven Keys of the Purposeful Trusts & Gifts. He facilitates family retreats and provides wealth counseling, fiduciary and philanthropic consulting services. He finds immense fulfillment in educating and training children, adolescents and emerging adults in financial literacy, philanthropic service, and holistic family wealth principles.

He authored two BNA (Bureau of National Affairs) Tax Management portfolios. He is the author of The Purposeful Trust Handbook and is currently completing a book entitled "Connecting Church and Estate -- Integrating Your Faith and Values in the Estate Planning Process" and is working on another book entitled "The New Vocabulary of Family Wealth."

John A will receive the award at the AiP Fithian Awards Dinner, which takes places as part of the Conference on Philanthropy 2014.
