As the holiday season approaches and our country continues to navigate complex political and social challenges, this is a powerful moment to pause, connect, and listen. Now more than ever, it’s essential that philanthropy invest in and learn from proximate leaders—those working directly within the communities most affected by inequity and change.

 

Join the AiP Bay Area Chapter for a meaningful afternoon of service, storytelling and dialogue. Together, we’ll spend time with Levantar, a trusted local nonprofit uplifting immigrant families through education, cultural enrichment, and responsive support. We’ll assemble holiday goodie bags, enjoy a locally prepared lunch, and engage in an on-the-ground conversation about immigration—both locally and nationally. Our featured conversation will include: Angie Ibarra Miller, Executive Director of Levantar and Paola Kim, Advisor on the Tides Foundation’s involved with the I-Belong Fund. Tides Foundation’s Immigrants Belong (I-Belong) Fund promotes a pro-immigrant future by investing in the storytelling power of immigrant communities and proximate leaders at the forefront of community change.
