About the program...

Leading up to the 2024 election, the philanthropic sector has mobilized doers and donors to advance charitable efforts to increase voter engagement and education. Join AiP and Tides for an engaging discussion on how the 2024 election is shaping up, and ways professional advisors, donors, foundation partners, and proximate leaders on the ground can all play a role in advancing a healthier democracy through nonpartisan strategies.

Panelists include...

Beth Huang, Program Officer, Civic Engagement & Democracy, Tides

With 15 years in student, labor, community, and electoral organizing, Beth brings her extensive experience leading organizations similar to the civic engagement grantees supported by Tides. Beth believes in the power of organizing to protect and advance democracy and draws on her expertise to educate donors about the most effective organizing efforts across the country. Her portfolio focus at Tides is civic engagement, voting rights, and organizing. Prior to working at Tides, Beth served as executive director of the Massachusetts Voter Table. She headed their grassroots census and redistricting efforts, advocated for voting rights and economic justice policies, and coordinated organizations to participate in ballot initiative campaigns. Beth is an alumnus of the United States Student Association and has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
