About the webinar... Retirement assets and real estate are the two biggest asset categories in any American household. In fact, 40% of America’s wealth is comprised of real estate! And yet, historically and shockingly, only 2% of charitable giving comes from real estate gifts. So, why aren’t more people donating real estate? The good news is that the tide is turning! Two top national real estate donation experts, Ruth Kennedy Sudduth and Bruce Geiss, will inform about what they are seeing in real time regarding a variety of exciting and practical real estate donations. As part of their presentation to AiP attendees, Ruth and Bruce will engage the audience on the topic of perceived obstacles to giving, what attendees can say today to help stimulate the conversation, and what resources are available so that nonprofits (and advisors) contract with the right expert professionals, to help capture the profound potential that real estate donations have to offer.
