Walk the Talk:  Growing your Practice Through Philanthropy

Patti Larson, CEO, SunUp Group

Richard Ward, CFP®, Stifel

Too many advisors follow their clients' philanthropic plans and wishes rather than lead them to these objectives. This talk focuses on how the advisor can add value by proactively guiding clients to philanthropic engagement and involvement. Attendees will learn: * Why and how it's important to help clients avoid the traditional retirement trap. * The process for advising clients on finding this new purpose. * How to create unique (self) brand awareness and grow his/her sphere of influence by this practice approach. * The ability to become more fully connected to and familiar with the local philanthropic community. To learn how this philanthropic engagement attracts like-minded clients and helps them live a richer life while the advisors are becoming more committed to philanthropy in all forms and facets.

Attendees will:

  1. Learn the need for each practitioner to stand apart by creating unique brand.
  2. Learn the importance of helping clients find post retirement purpose and ways to be engaged and  contributive.
  3. Leave the session understanding your “Why”, and following it with passion.
