DANA HOLLINGER, JD
Administrative Board Member, CalPERS
Dana Hollinger was appointed to the CalPERS Board of Administration by Governor Jerry Brown in May 2014 to serve as the Board's insurance industry representative.
Ms. Hollinger, a 25-year veteran of the life insurance industry, works with tax, trust, and estate and family law attorneys, business managers and CPAs to secure spousal and child support obligations, income replacement, wealth transfer, private placement, and other advanced uses of life insurance in estate and financial planning.
She served on the Women's Leadership Board to the JFK School of Government at Harvard University from 2004 to 2012 and is a sought-after speaker. She has authored articles on tax and estate planning for The Daily Journal and Physician's Money Digest and was personally selected by John Anderson to join Club 1800, a group of 30 leading businesswomen and female philanthropists.
Ms. Hollinger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University School of Government and a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law.
CAROL P. SCHANER
CPA, Partner, Gordon & Rees
Carol Schaner is a partner in the Orange County office. Ms. Schaner is a Certified Tax Specialist, LL. M., JD, CPA. The focus of her practice is on taxation, estate planning, charitable giving and nonprofit tax-exempt organizations.
Ms. Schaner has authored numerous articles and is a frequent speaker on estate planning and planned giving. She is a past chairman of the California Board of Legal Specialization Taxation Law Advisory Commission, and is an adjunct faculty member at Chapman University School of Law, teaching Federal Estate and Gift Taxation and Nonprofit Organizations. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Schaner was with Quinlivan Wexler LLP.
Ms. Schaner earned her J.D. and L.M.M., cum laude, Taxation, from University of San Diego School of Law and a B.S. from Cornell University.

Jeff Weston is a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He has a diverse background which provides him with the distinct perspective to serve individuals pursuing a range of financial goals. His experience includes international real estate investment, social enterprise and non-profit management.
Jeff obtained his MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. During his MBA, he was a Packard MBA Fellow with The Nature Conservancy and performed research for Microvest Capital, an investor in microfinance. He was a leader in Georgetown’s Net Impact chapter, and put on numerous events related to impact investing and other social impact related issues. He also designed and led Georgetown’s first course in impact investing and began efforts to create a student-led social venture fund. Jeff obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, having lived and worked in Latin America for over three years. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and community service.
