Alan W. Pratt
International Association of Advisors in Philanthropy

March 2012

Dear Colleagues:

This is a very exciting time for our organization.

AiP has a new look, new logo, new website, new home, new administrators and a fresh new perspective on how we can connect, educate and inspire the members of the AiP community.

A great source of inspiration is the Conference on Philanthropy which is right around the corner. The Conference Committee has put together a stellar line up of speakers sure to energize and motivate. We’ve just added an optional city tour to the agenda, designed specifically for AiP. Titled "Lifestyles of Chicago’s Rich and Famous, this tour will follow the thread from past to the present exploring philanthropy and Chicago history. You’ll learn about the elegant lifestyles and giving of early Chicago's rich and famous, whose largesse created major institutions of culture, learning and historic significance. Early bird registration fees are in effect through March 31, so don’t delay. Register today.

Be sure to explore all this brand new website has to offer. This user-friendly site offers the ability to register for events, add event dates to your Outlook Calendar, email other AiP members straight from their directory listing, download membership and event registration invoices, track your CE credits, build your own network of online AiP colleagues, enter your social network information so you can easily post news from this website to your Facebook and LinkedIn pages and much more!

Another major change for AiP is our location. We’ve moved to Chicago – right in the heart of the financial district. Please mark your records accordingly:

One of our most significant changes is our new management company and administrators. AiP is now managed by Gidley Management Group, Inc., an association management company with 20 years experience running professional, trade and charitable organizations. Our new administrators, Sheila Gidley and Fredericka Monu, are looking forward to meeting everyone at the conference. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact them by phone, email or in person at the conference.

See You In April,
