The Nov. 6, 2005 Washington Post business section ran several important articles related to charitable giving. The front page story described Arabella’s philanthropy due diligence process and how we assist family and corporate donors in becoming more effective philanthropists.

Eric Kessler founded District-based Arabella Philanthropic Investment Advisors LLC last year to help families with foundations distribute their money wisely. But he found he was increasingly called on to help corporations do the same.

"They want to pass the 'front page test,' as I call it," Kessler said. "The last thing they want is to find out that they're giving to an organization that's getting in trouble."


    “I don’t try to do it all,” says Culver. “Advisors need to do what brings them the greatest fulfillment—doing whatever aspect of the process that is their gift. They need to identify their gift and skill set, and then surround themselves with teammates who fill in missing parts.”
