The mission of the AIPF is to uplift individuals and communities by encouraging and supporting the professional education of advisors in philanthropy.
We serve philanthropic advisors from a cross-section of professions including financial, legal, insurance and those working at non-profits and community foundations or Community Benefit Organizations.
We seek to improve the stewardship of charitable funds, thereby creating a more effective philanthropic sector.
We accomplish this by encouraging and supporting the education of philanthropic advisors in advanced charitable planning techniques, sound giving practices, and professional stewardship.
Our vision of the future is one where every community takes care of its own needs by endowing Community Benefit Organizations through Community Foundations that are stewarded by Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy.
Our aim is to create more chartered advisors in philanthropy who specialize in long term charitable planning and who can help support a robust infrastructure that protects and promotes a vibrant and responsive non-profit sector and philanthropy. Our aim is also to promote vitality and resiliency in local communities by advocating and advancing the role of Community Foundations in the endowing support of Community Benefit Organizations.
